I think the breach was just blown out of proportion because its a huge entertainment company that was targetted. But I think it was a good thing for the government to finally examine existing cyber crime laws.
Looks like Nissan in the right track with this partnership. And looks like Google is in for a good competition. I think Nissan has great edge here since autombiles are their expertise.
