This is really the only way to improve the situation. Hold the companies generating the plastic “trash” responsible via taxes/fines. The regulatory pressure will make a difference.
They're cute, but I'm a bit disappointed that the Field Support Robot doesn't actually retrieve the ball itself, rather it follows the official on the field and waits for a payload.

I know the trend to relocate there has been going on for a while now, but I scratched Austin off my list after a 2016 visit due to (1) a very small airport with limited international flights and (2) really bad traffic (but that’s almost all cities, right?).
One thing to call out is that this is true for consumer created Meet calls, but not for G Suite/Workspace created Meet calls. Users w/o a Google account can join those calls by “knocking” and being accepted to the call (by the organizer or a user on the same domain) [1]. There's also a dial-in by phone option.
