Are we supposed to be more sympathetic because it's "women and minority"?
Look, it sucks to be owed money, but you aren't more deserving because you're a women and/or a minority.
Finally, the word "swindle" implies fraud, which is a crime. Filing for bankruptcy with outstanding debt isn't fraud. Not having been paid yet isn't fraud, although it may be breach of contract depending on the payment terms. Assuming they file for bankruptcy, as part of the bankruptcy proceedings, you will likely get paid (but it will be very late and possibly less). Still, that is not a swindle. It sucks but, unless other facts come up, really shouldn't be called a swindle.
