Amazingly well stated. I lived this exact life as the task-lead a few years ago on one of my projects.
I was told to keep the project running, but had no power on hiring, firing, performance reviews, or anything.
The project fulfilled the few requirements that we had, but failed to gain any real traction due to lack of feedback from the customer, for which the actual project lead was responsible for.
There's a new one of these every week. How is this one any better/different? Does it perform any better than a simple curl loop looking for the existence of a plugin? Or grep?
It'd be interesting to do all that you said (and more) and then determine what's the combined amount, as well as what % of sites do some sort of obfuscation... and why?
My issue with notion is that it doesn't support sharing PDFs/PPTs besides sharing the entire page. I'd like for it to backup my PDFs which is does onto AWS... but the links are gigantic (2k characters) and expire.
Don't know what happened but the first time I clicked this link it brought me to unrendered HTML and obfuscated JS. Can't reproduce... but perhaps beware of malware.
I'm sorry, but how is your website worth $4000? It's a static Jekyll website. This website is 3 to 10 man hours of work. Are you seriously paying people $500/hr to `gem install jekyll` and pick a theme for you?

I recently set up pi-hole in a couple of hours on a raspberry pi I have at home. Works fairly well - it can't block as many things as ublock origin can, but it gets the job mostly done while still providing some sort of revenue to content creators.
The photo for "There is a restaurant in Los Angeles called Brunch Near Me, presumably to trick Googlers." is showing Brooklyn, not Los Angeles. I don't know if this restaurant is in LA or in Brooklyn.

I've done similar setups. I highly recommend just using Cloudflare or Netlify instead. Unless you have an actual business reason, or love owning everything in the stack.
The headache of managing this yourself adds up, things break, things update, etc.
