There's no way Obama didn't know. Remember that Obama just appointed James Clapper, who was caught lying to Congress about there being dragnet surveillance on the American people, to a committee to investigate the NSA and make sure these programs are in check. If he didn't know, it seems like he would be rather pissed at Clapper and reluctant to let him investigate his own agency.
This and the fact that Obama is constantly being caught in lies says to me that the U.S. government has no clue what information Edward Snowden has passed off to Greenwald.
Elementary OS looks like a OS X knock off. Which is a shame, in my opinion. They say they reached the same conclusion as Apple's designers, but I think they just have a bias. They should be taking inspiration from apps like Fantastical, Soulver, etc. and building in those concepts to the O.S. They should try and set themselves apart from OS X. It just looks too similar. Remember what Picasa said: "Good artist copy. Great artist steal." Elementary OS is just copying. They should be stealing. I'd love to see something along the lines of this Dribbble shot, honestly.
Weed is hard to study because it's a schedule 1 drug. Change that and you will have a massive surge in the amount of studies done on it. It's safer than alcohol, we know that much. Not that it should matter. I'm an adult and should be able to put whatever I want in my body.
Because they're already making a lot of money from weed and other drugs being illegal. It's the prison industrial complex, man. The government isn't interested in stopping violence. If so, we'd have much saner drug laws. Drug busts are easy and when you do them the DEA and federal government give you money to buy shiny toys like tanks and new body armor.
Exactly. I think the best way to combat people who take pictures in places they shouldn't is by adding a camera sound that can't be disabled or turned down. I believe I read that's how it is in Japan.
