Considering this hasn't received an update in two months, it seems unsafe to install and download it. There have been many fixed security issues in Firefox just in the past few weeks.
The Mozilla Foundation and Mozilla Corporation have vastly different budgets and staff, and have very different ways of supporting the same mission.
The Foundation focuses on advocacy and movement building around internet related topics (i.e. Privacy & Security, Digital Inclusion), while the Corporation focuses mainly on Firefox, Research projects (Rust, WASM, WebVR), standards work, and other "product" related things.
In Firefox, you can right click on any search box and there's an option to "add a keyword search"
For a Wikipedia search, you'd set the keyword to "w" and then you'd get the identical behaviour you have in Chrome when typing "w foo" in your Awesome Bar.
Something about this must be broken on my Windows 10 partition, because it keeps trying to overwrite my updated Intel Graphics card driver via Windows Update. I ended up having to blacklist the update to stop it from bugging me.
It really doesn't. I've got the XPS 15 and the camera is similarly placed. The optimal solution is to just run a USB webcam to the top of an external monitor.
On the go, you're SOL. Not only can everyone see up your nose, but don't even try typing unless you want to distract everyone with some nice finger close-ups.
Donations to Mozilla don't fund Firefox development, they go to the non-profit foundation, which uses the money for things like open news, open science, policy work, etc.
As a father of a one year old, soon to be starting childcare, and husband to a trained & registered Early Childhood Educator in Ontario, I can relate to a lot in this article. Care for my daughter nearly approaches my monthly rent, and more than exceeds the monthly income of a childcare worker in Ontario. It almost feels like a better plan to have mom not go back to work, but then she'll fall behind professionally, and the baby will lose our on many social development opportunities.
