Top enemies: Rick Santorum, Westboro Baptist Church and Fox News. Which of the following explains this? (a) Liberals are heavier Facebook users; (b) Liberals have more enemies; (c) Liberals are earlier adopters of new apps. :)
I prefer eBay for two reasons:
(1) Selling. eBay gives me cash (minus fee). Buttons only have value if there's a dress I want.
(2) Buying. Lots more inventory to choose from, both high end and low.
Maybe there's something to the seasonality (school vacations, geographic moves tend to cluster in the summer) and the channels affecting holidays. But days of the week? Come on . . .
A strain of academic literature suggests that single-sex higher education may be problematic in that it accentuates separateness. Separateness can build confidence, but in my experience it's local confidence, pertaining only to the controlled environment that produced it. Otherwise, separateness is simply different, contributing to a sense of being an outsider. And I think that this is a bad thing.
