I'm an engineer with 8+ years of software development experience (working mostly with small to mid level startups) . I prefer to work in Individual Contributor capacity & like to take full ownership of the products/features I develop. I'm very much a generalist & enjoy working across different teams (backend, infrastructure, frontend). I'm a former AWS Solutions Architect, and building scalable, cost efficient infrastructure systems is my strong suite.
I'm also well versed in end-to-end product development - data modeling, architecture, API development & integrations, performance analysis & optimization, etc.
Currently, I'm particularly interested in Observability, eBPF, Infrastructure tooling and distributed systems.
If someone's really interested in doing this, I think the Moonlander (https://www.zsa.io/moonlander) keyboard has a stenography mode
It always looks so fascinating to see someone type at like 350 WPM but that's not me.
1. Axiom has a generous free plan (not sure if it's self-hostable)
2. SigNoz has an easy to work with self-hosting setup but also cloud solution.
If it's just logging, you can still forward your logs to these platforms but having OTel really goes a long way (from debugging and vendor selection POV).
