I sync them to my laptop and keep them there for 30 days. Within those 30 days, I either post them in Whatsapp/Facebook stories or send them to family/friends. Then, I just delete them.
By law, in the Netherlands, employees are allowed to reduce their work hours. Allegedly, unless there is a clear, critical business need for you to work the entire week, the company is not allowed to deny your request.
I would love to work fewer days per week, and use the extra time to focus more on my personal development & side projects. However, at my current level of discipline, I'd be fooling myself if I said I would use the time productively.
That said, the idea is still very tempting and I intend to do it in the next couple of years. In the meantime, I fully enjoy all of my 24 PTO days and make use of our policy for getting 5 extra unpaid days without justification.
It seems you picked a solution and are now looking for a problem. If you have to ask these questions, don't have problems with your current setup and perhaps switching is not really necessary. The better questions to ask are:
- What are the shortcoming of your current site that would require you to have your own proprietary solution?
- Would the cost of implementing the solution be less than the benefit of the move?
Even if it were a commandment and the biblical patriarchs hadn't had multiple wives, it would still be the christians trying to enforce their own belief system on someone.
Aside from the slow front ends, Google stuff works on FF for me. Since gmail is their service I use the most I switched it to the basic HTML view to keep my sanity.
