Seems like a false equivalence. What were the negative consequences of him being rich? OP laid out what he would have experienced as a minority. If the only negative consequence of being rich is every once in a while you are called on it, how is that at all equivalent to the experience described by OP?
You just made me take a long look at my current trajectory. Very thought provoking. Indeed, I can see a distinct split in the people in my life who are in group A (closed off, social life is family dependent) and those in group B.
I don't mean to come off pessimistic either, I think we are doing better about it. My poor experiences have been distasteful, but not definitive of all my experiences. There will always be bad apples and such...

In his defense, it's difficult to want to waste time debating with this line of reasoning. There are some huge unfounded assumptions being made right here in a well thought out way. A nugget of possible truth, mixed with a lot of personal opinion. With that said, doesnt seem like it would lead to a productive conversation.
I'm not sure why the need to insert white males into the equation. That argument is based on you believing there is a secret organized attack against white men going on. I think thats open to interpretation depending on who you are. If anything, I, as a minority, see a balancing of power. Im also aware that whitw males still dominate the economical and political spectrum, so its even harder to agree with this logic. Is thus attack being perpetuated by other white males? To what gain? It seems to me that it appears as an attack on white males, when white males are no longer allowed to dominate culturally, economically, or in numbers in certain areas. They arent being excluded, others are being allowed to the table. That means more chairs need to be pulled up and you cant have the entire meal to yourself. I can't call that "cultural genocide". The role of white male in society remains much the same. This argument makes me think of the people who complain about AA hires, while ignoring the fact that the company is comprised of 85% white hires.
Kinda feels like a false equivalence to me. Yes, as a society we all put ourselves at risk as we drive and interact. Doesn't mean I want to be an possible participant in witnessing some adrenaline addict fall off a building. I don't want to see people die horribly in auto accidents either, but that seems like a compromise to use a car, something that actually has a use for me. Nothing about random daredevil getting a dose of adrenaline benefits me personally, so out of all of the possible horrible things that can be produced from human interaction, this one doesn't seem necessary.
Well, how about the possibility of the falling in the middle of a crowd? Should people be exposed to an exploding person raining from a skyscraper out of nowhere, long as the climber died doing what he/she loved? It would definitely ruin my day and possibly scar some people.
Follow that up with firing 200 out of 700 employees when money became an issue. Sounds like an amazing career opportunity. If nothing else, you will leave with a new appreciation for you next opportunity at a realistically demanding organization...
