Please don't link directly to exe downloads.
Don't link to any kind of download before the official download pages go up. The bits may not be final, and Mozilla typically hasn't finished distributing stuff to mirrors. I assume if you know where to look for these things you also know that Mozilla's been asking people to knock it off for years now.
The link points to http://download.mozilla.org/?product=thunderbird-3.0 which is a redirector to the 'appropriate' platform version.
Actually, not it is not. I am on linux and the link went to a Windows binary
