WFMU seeks to engage on a contract basis an individual Wordpress / Database developer who is fluent in PHP, custom themes and developing plugins. Our ideal candidate is comfortable making custom Wordpress plugins to extend the WP admin interface. They are thoughtful when it comes to the user experience of both the client facing site and the admin interface.
Interest in open source development and non profit communities is a plus.
This developer will be working to create the new WFMU site, including blog, program pages, event pages and helping integrate 3rd party apps with wordpress. Remote work is OK, although some workday overlap with East COast US time zones is needed.
Interested parties should contact General Manager Ken Freedman at ken at wfmu dot org
