Whenever I experience a bugged computer algorithm, I always feel personally slighted and in my mind I interpret this bug as a "fuck you" from the entire company that hired the programmer who wrote that code. Then I write a scathing blog post about how I'm so much in love with their competitor's computer algorithm. Yeah.
Bing is maybe the greatest tool on the internet, but your article is one of the shittiest and useless, that I'v ever read.
What search results do you expect to use to find your site? "bands sxsw 2014" doesn't show your sign on google nor bing. "gig sounder sxsw 2014" lists your site at the top on both google and bing.
So are you just trying to get HN people to see your site?
So a search for "gigsounder ashes" will show the relevant artist on google but not on bing.

Basically Bing allows you to submit a sitemap but then gives a status of pending for several days without explaining what is going on.
