Poll: How many browser tabs do you have open right now?

I have 51 tabs open right now and this one is going to stay open too so I can share this poll with a friend who hates to keep anything open either in his web browser or in his taskbar lol. I love that as of right now at least 19 people have more tabs open then me!
If I'm working I would be in 11-30 or even 61-100. But since it's "right now", I'll go with choice A, less than 10

Can I ask why so many?? Or how many will you never look at again, but just didn't bother to close?
This is at work. I have four threads of enquiry ongoing, one tab group for each. The nature of my work is that I have to do a good part of my research in the spaces between tasks.
Two of those threads/groups have become the same thread.
Normally I'll find what I'm looking for, but leave the tab up for awhile and let it simmer. Once a week or so I'll pare down a group to just the tabs that I'll want to refer to later, bookmark what remains and clear everything out.
Works for me.

I tend to prune my tabs regularly, so I'm rarely over 15-20. I'm also rarely under 4.
depends which laptop, but usually between 5-15 each.
i also have a VM and two remote desktops going on at work... do those count as part of the total? :)
I'm at 62 right now which is low for me. I use a crapton of tabs of basically two reasons:
1. I use tabs as a lightweight to-do system 2. I basically hate any kind of latency so I'll always open links in the background, then switch tabs when it's done loading. I hate latency to the extent where if I find a multi-page news article without a single page view, I'll often close the article rather than have to endure each page loading.

I very rarely have more than ten open and I would be curious to hear what the benefits of having so many can be. The only one I can imagine is that if you have a very slow connection, it may save you some load times.
In Firefox, I can access pretty much any website from my history or bookmarks by typing a few letters of its URL or title in the address bar.

Usually when browsing a site that has multiple interesting links, which I open in a new tab whilst I finish reading the main site.
Then hit one of the new tabs, and well, GOTO 10. Doesn't take too many loops to open that many tabs. Then the task is to reverse the process, closing tabs as I read them.

I have 40...on 1 pc.. if you count all the pc's I can connect to via vnc...well we're breaching 100 lol.

This is funny. I have a group of "news" bookmarks that I open every morning as I have my coffee: The weather, ./, reddit science, xkcd, data tau, a couple of finance sites, google news, hacker news. I cmd-click interesting articles, accumulating pages to read, close the news sites, and start reading.
Since hacker news is the last of the news tabs I get to, by the time I clicked to open this poll in a new tab I already had over 25 tabs open (and that includes the tabs I never close: a couple of email accounts, calendar, contacts, lastpass, ztype, trello, one or two others).
By the time I was done clicking, I probably had over 60 (on hacker news, I click twice, of course, once for news, once for comments). I'm still only down to about 40 again, and still have a dozen or more HN stories to read....
