A little late for this to be coming out, don't you think? If I had been the subject of an illegal raid and was physically harmed at the time, that would be the first thing I mention to the media.
I'm guessing the police are trained in one type of raid, which they apply for everything from "alleged copyright infringement" to "escaped from prison having just killed 15 guards". Not that this justifies unreasonable application of force, but I can at least understand why.
Not surprised about the police beating someone during a raid.
It's very hard to prove and they could always justify it as pacifying resistance. Which may or may not be present.

The whole thing reeked of wrongdoings and corruption from the start.
There are video and image recordings of the raid, but guess what, the crown wants to suppress those.[1]

Uh huh. Sure they did. And I'm the Jolly Green Giant.
This guy hasn't had problems in the past vocalizing his issues with the police and their alleged misdeeds. Why did he wait several months to make this claim if it actually happened?
(Note to downvoters: this is a rhetorical question; he didn't wait months because the alleged beating(s) never occurred. This guy has some of the priciest lawyers in the world working on his defense. If these beatings had actually taken place, you can bet your ass that it would have been the dominant story of the Megaupload saga from Day 1.)

Is it me, or am I the only one getting tired of hearing his name in the news?
