I agree with this 100% - a lot of the JS ecosystem is really marketing by tech influencers who want to sell stuff. That's there is always a new shiny tool around the corner. The VCs need to recoup their investment.

Spot on. A reason to be very careful with React and Next.js going forward. We are in the VC monetization phase and it could get ugly.
