Nice touch. However, do we seriously need to have every Google easteregg on Hacker News?
What I like about this specific easter egg is how they solved the issue with religious holidays: Only those that care about <your religious holiday here> get to see the message.
Shameless discrimination against pagans/druids/witches/misc hippies: "solstice" gets no special graphic. And it's actually today[0] as well, unlike that copycat christmas!
