Thanks for bringing attention to this matter. Our app isn't operating in the US (we are a brazilian company), so FDA approval is not required.
We also don't claim medical benefits, it is only a tool used by therapists during therapy and for homework activities, all of which must be done under a professional SLP guidance.

Do you have links about that situation? Purely from what was written here the "wrong words" could have claimed the aspiring fixes diabetes and is replacement for insulin. Which would kill people. I know that is unlikely to be what happened, but you dont say what actually happened.
Also, FDA does not have power to put people to jail. You really need cop or prosecutor for that.

I know some folks were quite excited about low dose aspirin for heart conditions in the 90s to the point of selling their own pills they had gotten made; i can't find any references but I'm pretty sure they got stomped. As I recall, and I could be wrong in any or all the details here, their thing was a 10mg dose and they'd gotten a Mexican (?) pill mill to make them a batch, because no one in the US would. and they tried to sell it as "Supplements".

I understand these types of posts sometimes get a bad rep here, but in this situation I'm commenting and upvoting hoping this gets visibility since if you are familiar with kids in this condition you know how important routine is.
The linked reddit post shows a screenshot of a rejection email from the play store titled "2021.11.16 Update Rejection Email".
In the screenshot, they DO provide reasons for the update being rejected. 1) Needing to supply log-in credential, 2) Something about user experience that's shown in a screenshot.
Further, if I google the app name I find a play store listing for this app that says it was last updated "November 21, 2021". So it looks like they did get the update to pass.
So: a) It looks like an update got rejected, and not that the app was removed b) They did provide reasons c) An update did go through later (presumably after addressing the issues in the email)

The FDA put people in jail over aspirin with the wrong words on the labels, years ago; as I recall. When they sniff yer space you flee or become one of their serfs.
