More fluff from Intel - over promise and cancel after 2 years with nothing to show for that investment. They should focus on rebuilding their core capabilities - manufacturing and design. Let others sell the integrated systems, you focus on improving and innovating the components.
A classical-based zettascale computer could be impossible and might be irresponsible given the massive power required.
My bet is Intel will achieve this with greatly reduced precision for ML training (FP8 or something) and declare 'victory'.
