Suck at planting trees and baking? Save the children via programming
I just recently volunteered my time to start building a website for a charity called "Friends of Himalayan Children" The team are doing great things for child labor issues in the Himalayans.<p>The founder is only 25 and his persistence and caring attitude was truly inspiring.<p>There is a campaign starting for November that plans to build heaps of renovations before Christmas, it would be amazing if the kids could have a renovated hostel and school to take into the new year.<p>The organization takes orphans off the streets and gives them homes and best of all an education. A small donation is priceless<p>Edit: http://nepalesechildren.org<p>Anyone who donates gets a private mention on the sponsors list<p>http://www.nepalesechildren.org/friends/<p>A email I got from them<p>"Hey Thomas,
WOW!!!! We are so so excited, it is the best website in the world, we absolutely LOVE it!! We cannot thank you enough for your fantastic work, you truly are making a massive difference to the lives of the children in Nepal. This website is going to make all the difference, I cannot count the amount of times that people have asked us about a website and it was always something that was being planned but now you have made it a reality, how GREAT! Your work is inspiring Thomas,we are so grateful. Many many people have promised for the past two years to develop a website for us but you are the only person who has followed through with it, you are fabulous! We will start getting word out to our contacts about the website tomorrow morning.
Thanks again Thomas for your hard work. You must come to Nepal soon, you will be well looked after there!
Som and Susan"
