I love how you styled the interface. The UI elements are minimalist and great looking. Did you take inspirations somewhere, or was it a from-scratch design?
I share your observations and concerns. But I don't think the current erosion of digital privacy and the censorship creep were made to address those. There are better ways (even though they are not fully fleshed out yet) to minimize toxic/populist influence, but a blank cheque to sacrifice our rights isn't one.
OpenAI employees put knives on their own necks to demand Altman to get back and be their boss [1], not too long ago, right? Altman wiggles his tongues and makes them a solid paycheck. "We will not be divided," unless the water boils slow enough. Wait for a few months, he will renegotiate the terms with DoD, just like his move to turn OpenAI into a for-profit.
Wow thanks for posting this, this was how I found out about it being on life support. I've been using it since ages ago and have no complaints. It's lightweight, fast, accessible anywhere, no frills and functional. It's the notepad.exe on web for me.
None of the current line up of alternatives are lightweight enough, it seems.
I second this. Although I only hand filed for two years and then transitioned to FreeTaxUSA. The benefit is that after going through their wizard/interface, I can confidently check the generated IRS forms to make sure it’s filled to my intent.
How are the videos captured or processed? The solar lens flares are smoothly interpolated but the moon surface shows lower FPS, almost feels like the flares were on a separate layer.
We are booing Altman because his bait and switch feels unethical, but many of us saw it coming from a mile away, how does he make this transition to take advantage of the financial system so smoothly? Is there no legal guard for such maneuver, or is he just an insanely good player to circumvent all of them in plain view?
