I'm convinced power monitoring should always start from the grid connection. In our case, this was a 10KV connection which we could not access without the grid operator. So getting the data from them was the only option.
As a Dutch citizen, I don't understand why we can't self-host an open source identity solution for 20M users with 30K requests an hour. How hard can it be?
I don't really get what the problem with MacOS is. It never gets in my way, so why would I switch? Yes, I found Liquid Glass ugly and two days later I completely forgot about it.
What also contributes to this, is that there are new (Chinese) players on the market that offer incredible value for audiophiles. Brands like Topping, Fosi Audio and SMSL completely outperform the incumbent brands.

Not only does Apple frown upon that, they just silently drop emails that are sent from a server without PTR records. Yes, that includes their own servers. Yes, sending email from iCloud to iCloud is silently dropped if they decide you get assigned an outgoing server without PTR. The absolute amateurism just blows my mind.
So, Apple sends the wrong EHLO domain when trying to send emails out. This results in them dropping emails to their own users. Can't get past Apple's level 1 support. How can I get to someone that maintains their SMTP k8s cluster?
For automating TRV’s, I use Better Thermostat. It allows one to use external temperature sensors to offset the TRV temperature.

Sortimo T-Boxx (or similar). I have rack with a stack of 12 of them labeled by component type.
The nice things about these is that you can see what is inside them before you have to open them.
I love to grab a few of them (eg: 'Soldering', 'MCU's', 'Resistors'), bring them to my workbench and start doing stuff while the components stay neatly sorted within the organizer instead of spreading around my bench. When done, close the lid, shove them back in the rack and I'm done.
I have to warn that it sounds like hot garbage though. The neat thing with ESP32 devices is that you can make it sound okay using its built in 8-bit DACs, or great using I²S.
Speaking of hardware hacking; you can also get POE/LAN adaptors for the ESP32, if you have free hardware pins left for it.
