I recently tried Pangram, created an account, wrote a few lines about how my day went, and it was flagged as likely AI-assisted. It clearly doesn't work.
It's especially bad that they keep insisting that it works very well, because thousands of people will probably end up falsely accused of AI usage as a result.
Blocking bots should not be the default behavior, it should be opt-in. Is Cloudflare trying to play both sides in order to secure a fee on every pay-to-crawl in the future?
Bills are imo way easier to manage and carry, especially when you don't have a wallet, which is why I prefer the US system, but I agree that durability is the main issue.
I'm in Paris and can confirm that most ATMs don't give €5 bills, but some do, and it's pretty nice to withdraw a stack of fresh, brand new €5 bills that are way more convenient than coins.
I try to pay everything in cash as much as I can, so it's nice to see the banknotes get some love from the ECB (even though the absence of €1 and €2 banknotes still hurts…).
I think it's a bit strange to feature people on these, plus it would be difficult to agree on who to feature between the 21 € states. The birds look cool! But it would have been nice to modernize the current architecture-based design rather than feature random EU office buildings.
The lengthy legal battle against these fines is going to be extremely interesting, especially on the Shopping/Hotels/Flights side since it is an extremely competitive market. I wonder if the lower EU court will keep its overly proactive approach despite the CJEU's reversals.
Adult websites have already been age-gated in France for a while, and it's not going well: almost two years later, there's still no privacy-friendly way to verify your age, and almost everyone I know is using a VPN. This is stupid.
I don't really understand why the Tate brothers (who, I assume, are advised by multiple great lawyers) came back to the US after getting out of their legal troubles in Romania, instead of enjoying their freedom in some extradition-free paradise. Do they need to be in legal troubles for the publicity?
Excellent hardware and software support (especially for Snapdragon/ARM64 CPUs and Microsoft Office) and best in class multitasking/window management are the top 2 reasons for me. Like someone else said, it's the worst OS, except for all the others :)

LinkedIn is definitely flooded with AI slop, but we also need to keep in mind that Pangram really doesn't work that well. I just tried it, wrote a few sentences about my day, and it was flagged as AI-generated (which doesn't surprise me since these tools are known to easily flag writing from people whose native language is not English [1]). I am really suspicious of the 0.1% false positive rate they claim to achieve.
What don't you like about the voice? Geniune question, I'm not using it in English but I think it sounds fine in my language, and it's an improvement over the previous one.
I'm a bit confused by this post, because the Dropbox clients, on both Windows and Mac, are pretty basic and streamlined. If anything, they lack features (some are web-only for some reason) rather than being bloated.
That's strange, because they were seemingly way less capacity constrained lately, raised limits and removed the peak hours usage. It's crazy to think that even spending $1.25 billion a month to rent GPUs from SpaceX didn't do much to improve the situation.
I have the same experience, and I ended up removing Cloudflare from the websites I manage since there were too many complaints from users with shared connections or exotic browsers.
