I don't think it's something we will transition to in general "for survival" though. Building regulations should just catch up and enforce appropriate insulation levels and building methods for the given environments.
Yep, as a relatively recent (2.5 years ago) convert from HP to Brother because HP was pulling all this crap with with 3rd party toner cartridges.
The Brother has proved to be just as bad, and in some ways even worse.
Once it decides the (genuine) toner must be empty it basically refuses to print without some complex reset procedures. At least the HP would just happily print faded pages all day long.
I still use my original rift for sim racing. It's brilliant, and much more convenient than trying to setup 3 or 4 monitors instead.
I have no interest in a metaverse or social vr activities.
On its own, with consistent simple hardware improvements the CV1 would have been a decently profitable business by most other companies' standards and done well enough to keep going.
Facebook/SV trying to turn VR into something it's not ready to be, and that nobody is particularly interested in, in the hope of turning it into a mega multi billion dollar venture worthy of them is what has made it no fun and is just wasted money.
I've found the watch to be within a percent or two of both store bought and hospital based "finger tip" meters.
You get the occasional outliers from a bad reading but in general that's how I've experienced, and I've had nurses and doctors say that they are "good enough".
And yeah in my experience, anything less than 90-93% in a hospital and they will have you on high flow oxygen pretty quick. So 85% as a single bad reading is fine, but a sustained 85% on a watch means you probably want to head to a medical facility.
VirtualLink on the NV 20xx series was almost there on this.

Skipped from 30xx onwards, and I'm not sure of the maximum video resolution, but I use an Apple USB-C to HDMI/USB dongle in mine to connect a rift - I don't think there is any reason it couldn't be a monitor on the other end of the USB-C cable.
Most EV manufacturers are offering around 8 year/160,000-200,000km warranties on the batteries.
So not 200,000miles. But definitely covering the average usage pattern.
And not all will last that long, but the majority will. And potentially the worst case is just degradation - I.e. 200km range instead of 400km range, so still quite useful for a variety of use cases even outside of cars.
It could be the quantized version failing?
