I had exactly the same reaction to the early Facebook "Zuckerbot" theme, and something ineffable absolutely died in the transition. The failure of the front end industry to recapture it and sell it at a profit is interesting in itself. There is a lot to be said for just having 100% Terraform defs for everything, sure you rewrite the file from scratch to move to a different cloud, but you know what needs to be in the file

I've worked formal 3 and 4 day week arrangements. Net experience: it's pointless, if you're working 4 day weeks and you're feeling behind, you may well end up working that 5th day without anyone asking.
Similarly in a 5 day week arrangement, I've never felt compelled to actually work the full week especially when I'm ahead.
Ignoring any formality, I think most folk work a 2-3 week if they were honest about it.
I wouldn't sweat having a 3/4 day arrangement as a reason to pick one company over another, especially if the offer is implicitly part of attempting to screw you on salary

Curious what the perf tradeoffs are of multiple EBSes vs. a single large EBS? I know of their fixed IOPs-per-100Gb ratio or whatnot, maybe there is some benefit to splitting that up across devices.

The problem discussed in the parent comments would completely rule me out as a user: solving privacy is not a technical problem, it has always been a usability problem. This is primarily why your namesake failed - variations on wizardry that ultimately result in a user still having to jump through hoops to accomplish simple tasks sounds like the same thing all over again to me
If a technology makes money laundering a prerequisite to privacy, the technology itself is bullshit. There's no need to spend words to justify this further.
In no other industry would you find for example, "we made a better hammer, but when you use it to drive nails as a minor side effect, it may/may not fund the abuse of children and development of nuclear weapons by rogue states"
If you truly believe in privacy, it's okay to simply say the technology is fundamentally broken by design and seek a better alternative.

If Linux were a focal point for enabling North Korea and Iran to develop nuclear weapons, then yes, sanction the hell out of it. But sanctioning Linux would have such dramatically negative societal effects that it would outweigh any benefit - the same is not true of a mixer. Mixers in my view have absolutely no legitimate use, their exclusive purpose is the enablement of deviant behaviour in one form or another free of societal accountability, and it'd be a red flag for me just to know someone used one regardless of knowing why they used it.
It's like saying the local brothel can't be shut down because the building could potentially be used to teach the word of the lord while the employees aren't otherwise busy. The exclusive purpose of the brothel's existence is enabling trafficking and sex work, and the benefit of any potential imaginary supplementary uses are grossly outweighed by the benefit to society of closing it down.
You should be able to achieve this without also enabling terrorism, child pornography and extortion. Because of this Tornado Cash was never the right solution - it requires you to permit these things just in order to have privacy. In other words it is a bullshit technology and deserves to be replaced with something better. If blockchain in turn requires a solution like Tornado Cash in order to offer any privacy, mandatorily fused with the aforementioned radioactive side effects, then blockchain itself is a bullshit technology.
Just because you find a use for a technology doesn't make the technology good. Nuclear weapons are a highly effective alternative to insect repellent, but that does not justify the general purpose use of nuclear weapons for repelling insects.
They wilfully contributed to the upkeep of a money laundering service. They should be thankful losing their GitHub account is the extent of the fallout, take it as a lesson that code can cause real harm, and act more judiciously in future when it comes to contributing labour to suspect projects.
No knowledge of Apple's code here, but looks like they simply gave up trying to reformat decompiler/disassembler output in that Garble class. Humans don't write code like that, optimizers do
