I don't have time to start a business, otherwise I wouldn't ask (see the title). I just look for ways to make it more with doing one time jobs (like investing, buying selling etc.) which I don't have to do the thing on a regular basis but one time and make it 51k after some time, for example.
Obviously I have some coding skills but I see myself as a non-technical one. I said "I could do it myself in a day" meaning, the work he has done was so easy that even I could do it in some days. I've developed the MVP of our webapp but my coding skills are not so advanced to make it better. So I decided to hire someone who is better than me.
Yes I know, it's better to code it yourself but we have now paying clients and it must be ready as soon as possible. With my own skills and learning curve it will take too much time.
Ok, this is very well written article explaning some problematic parts that people don't understand. But there is one more paradoxal point I didn't get it why and how the writers could not figure it out that, if a nation can't survive in itself and needs help from aliens (later cooper finds out that these aliens are actually us, who are already in 5 dimensional universe) to solve the equation for their existence and if people would die without help of outside, how could their descendens survive and then live in 5 dimensional world to save their ancestors?! This is pure paradox and not possible. And it's very well known that one can be in the future but can't go or change things in the past, even in 5 dimensional universe.
Actually there are plenty of Navigation gadgets doing the same function, but non of them works on a sunny day. I bought some of them, but frustrated, non of them are really functional. I drive on a highway a lot and navigation is annoying when it's not in front of you. So how do Navdy solves this problem?
Although most of a cell's DNA is contained in the cell nucleus, the mitochondrion has its own independent genome. And it affects the General genomic characteristics of an organism.
I started a youtube channel 2 year ago. Just for my personal use. When I want to show someone something, to be able to upload it, if it's not on youtube yet. So I invested 10 minutes per month to upload some videos that I think interesting to share. After a year I saw that to0 many people watch my videos. So I activated ads on my channel. My last video was a year ago I think. And Google still sends me 200-300$ monthly. I've invested only 2-3 hours totally on channel.
1. A Space Travel. Would pay Roskosmos or NASA for a travel.
2. Build a whole new industry - Flying cars. I know, I know it's very complex story, but I would invest a billion on this!
3. Build a competitor to SpaceX and make it even better.
4. Find a Foundation to help people those need help, like Bill Gates does.
5. There are more... but for now I'll keep them for myself.
Thank you, great advices. I regularly read both Nathan and Patrick. I love tehm. I think I'm already ready for the launch. On thursday ( -/+ 1 day) I'm going to post a Show HN post. I'm excited :)
Do you think it's a bad idea to put the packages on the website with pricing, rather than explaining the prices and rates every client in first 5 min. free conversation? Is it for consulting company a negative strategy?
what do you mean by "some well established consultation companies use freelancers platforms to market their services and get paid" ? how they use freelancer platforms?
For those who say that it's an option to give or sell it to someone - I think if the company still works, it's all because of me, I did really great amount of work and some of them are the things that others can't do. It sounds arrogant, but I think someone who will get the company in this Level, will not be able to take it further. I prefer that it dies with honor, like a sir, instead slowly with bad reputation.
edit: one more point which press me about this decision is that the new idea that I came of. I have saved $ 100k money and this idea which I shared some days ago here in HN really excites me, after some possible clients sent me emails that they would subscribe my new webapp. The thread about the idea: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=7494337
