This makes it sound like arabs will be unable to ever be good at warfare regardless how good individual soldiers are because of deep cultural issues, which is probably a good thing (at the moment anyway) if you consider the causes that Muslims get passionate about. Look at Libya, Syria, Hamas, Lebanon, Yemen... In all these cases a large number of people are very passionate about controlling others on a very personal level, until they give that up, I hope that they continue to have a dysfunctional military structure.

If I've said it once I've said it a million times: Use a template, don't use truly random passwords, those aren't helpful to anyone, instead create a template and follow for each of your passwords, here's an example of what I mean:

In case you don't see it the pattern is:
first/four/letters/of/sitename@service/first/three/letters/of/username
that's gonna be at least 8 characters every time and should be good enough for most services...
PS. I wish I had thought of this when I made my template this is way more creative than what I came up with, sadly now that it's out-and-about I wouldn't feel safe using it
PPS. if the service doesn't allow special characters (here's looking at you Bank of America) just substitute the number that key shares. or create a whole new template for this case-type.

Personally I like the ATD - WSJ connection, Mossberg has an inside take on thigns and often doesn pieces for the WSJ which I read, I feel like I would loose that if there was a split... Plus AOL is kinda dying look what they did to engadget.

Plus speed and reliability are also more expensive. I have a 256GB flash drive... made in china by some knockoff, not kingston and it shows. I've had to reformat it like 3-4 times, and it's read/write speed is a joke. Still it cost me less than some 64gb drives so it's all relative.
I agree that adding >$100 for a 16gb upgrade in a phone or even 32gb is a little much but to step it up from 128gb and keep speed and some form of reliability is gonna cost you.
US Cellular has the exact opposite policy, you have to back their rep in a corner to admit it, but he'll say that you can get any phone you want from them, subsidized or not and cancel the data plan within the first month (when you get the phone, online at least you need to sign up for a plan, but after you can call them up).
The trouble with USC is that they're a regional carrier, and they really only support the upper midwest, though their national plan uses Verizon/Sprint's network when you leave their coverage area.
If that works for you, I'd highly suggest you look into a plan, they don't do the iPhone, but they do have free incoming and other fun stuff.
I know this because I'm with USC right now and was attempting to force them into giving me a free GSIII without data, and they said, the data thing is really just a strong suggestion, "our customers call to complain that their 'phones don't work' and often it's because they wanna use the internet without a wifi signal, so we kinda 'mandate' a data plan that you can opt-out of" He did repeatedly say that the phone might not work predictably without a data plan, I told him that was okay, I was up to the task.

Great point about wanting to be on that list, while it's unlikely that a criminal would use such a map to check your house before trying to rob, he now knows who DOESN'T own a gun (legally) and is a good candidate for robbery.
