In Sydney, it's generally the case for established neighbourhoods close to the CBD. Walkability in inner city suburbs like Balmain, Leichhardt, Rozelle, any of the eastern suburbs really is super high.
Contrast this to urban-sprawl created suburbs like Marsden Park and a few of the Hills district burbs and it's the opposite - barely any public transport and next to no community infrastructure.
So how then do you know that Spain will veto a Scottish application to rejoin? Have Spain produced a more up to date statement changing their position? If not, then are you not just spreading FUD?
edit: Also, Johnson shutting down the possibility of a second independence referendum is not the be all and end all: the Scottish government could pass legislation for one without a section 30, which would likely be challenged in court by the UK government. If the supreme court upholds the right for Scots to vote in a referendum, then it goes ahead.
To your last point: have Spain changed their position since they said they would not veto a Scottish application to rejoin [1]? I haven’t seen anything to suggest they have.
Some other issues that I don't think have been mentioned:
- A lot of the trees are eucalypts which are super oily and incredibly flammable. Some have been known to explode when they get too hot.
- It's been getting incredibly windy, which is taking burning embers far ahead of the main firefront and starting advance fires. Recently, a firey was crushed to death after the fire engine was blown over on top of him the winds are that strong.

You're right, of course: hadn't had the morning coffee. It should have been 'takes 100% longer' in the 1 second/2 seconds example. The point I was trying to make is that you have to factor in the initial 100% which doesn't contribute to the final value.
Should that not be 346% faster? If A takes 1 second and B takes two seconds, then B is 100% faster than A. So the calculation would be (B/A - 1) * 100. Applying this here gives around 346%.
EDIT: B would, of course, take 100% longer than A, rather than be 100% faster.
I think the logic is: "If you're willing to gather evidence against somebody illegally, then you'd also be willing to fabricate evidence that doesn't exist".
While the majority of it probably isn't 'how the world should be', a man is going free because (we speculate) that the evidence against him was gathered illegally. This bit probably is 'how the world should be'.
I love the big chunky button on these things, but I have a few implementation niggles that someone might be able to shed light on.
My main gripe is that the buttons aren't symmetrical with their partner button pairs on the other side of the traffic flow. If I'm approaching the junction and there's someone on the other side of the traffic waiting to cross already, the green man on my side should also activate when the lights change. Means I end up having to do this jaunty quick-step fencing lunge to stab at the button if I see the lights changing, which I usually just miss out on then have to wait to cross.
Is it the exact same thing, though? Can I send Lob a picture via SMS with some text and an address and have a postcard sent? If not, then maybe that's where the extra cost comes from.
