Apple/Google has effectively made notification worthless because they allow services to abuse notifications. I wish they respected my time/attention more.

I think we can do a little better while still reaping the improvements garnered by tunneling.
It wasn't incompetence, it was greed. They said "no new training for pilots" in order to keep sales volume up and to ensure no new training they kept the MCAS system a secret from pilots.
I don't want snap, ever. It is really annoying to have to disable it on Ubuntu. I don't think it would be as bad if they didn't hijack apt to install what they think should be a snap.
Why are people still using Google services? They take your money and disappear when you need any help. Only way to actually get support is to know someone who knows someone or get enough social media support to have an engineer see it.
I de-Googled a couple of years ago and haven't looked back.
It is getting hugged to death. It is a map with locations of retro computing/gaming points of interests. Think arcades, bars, shops. Really cool idea. Going to use this to find cool places to checkout in places I visit from now on.
I understand why municipalities want these facilities connected to the internet. However, I can't understand why it is allowed. We really need to take the security of our critical infrastructure seriously.
It feels like they waited a long time to post an advisory for an exploit that was being actively used by threat actors, more than a week after they pushed a fix to their repositories. Why not give customers a heads up prior? At least give your users a fighting chance.
I stopped used Google search two years ago. I switched to DDG and I have never felt the need to switch back. I just want search, I don't need my search engine to anticipate me. I want to type in a query and get results, maybe modify my query and try again. I really feel that Google search has lost its way and it is sad to see, but I guess money talks and search doesn't make them money.
I agree with him. After having a car with CarPlay, I can't imagine going back to the user experience that car companies offer. I tried the standard Bluetooth experience in my car and it is abysmal. Nothing works right, who wants to go back to that?
