already discredited. the confusion in all this is that there are reservoirs for virus versus the intermediate animal for which the virus infected and mutated to become the current sars-cov-2. in this case the pangolin is neither and appears to have one the many versions of coronavirus that may very well have come from bats but is too different to be considered to be part of the virus lineage of sars-cov-2.
this article claims that the origins of sars was found but I am sure they are mischaracterizing the reservoir vs the actual intermediate animal source for sars.
discord’s business model is to obfuscate the spyware portion from games or whatever application. this is necessary to protect or factor out the valuable ip of a program from the possibility of it being placed under scrutiny by a government or whatever organization.

assuming that google pays the highest h1b salaries, if you sort the jobs by lowest to highest earnings. you see that many are barely earning a little more than 100k in the most expensive cities in the world. if an apartment cost 2k a month and half your income goes to taxes. you are left with 25k to pay for food and a car and medical coverage. why would they do this?????!!!!! to get the word google on their resume.
another issue is that people here are treating income as a measure of wealth. that's hilariously naive considering how so many ceo's today don't even take a salary. immigrants do not come here and severe all ties to their families in their home countries.
you can not compare immigrants that are a specific sub group of people to a non-immigrant population which typically represents a wide range of demographics.
it's the same argument made against those stats regarding how low females are paid. they never compare men and women in the same field of work. not only are you not comparing people in the same field of work, you are not comparing groups of people in the same class.
these kind of thing are not helpful. what we need is a spreadsheet with all costs. i bet you will get something like a spreadsheet of medical costs in the us where it is realized that bandaids are costing something like 10 dollars for one.
actually the social safety net puts a downward pressure on wages. americans need to earn more money to make up for the lack of social services. europeans and most of the free world, the middle class work like they are earning spending money vs americans who work like they are earning money for their health insurance, transportation, etc. this is why americans can't compete with h1b workers as they undercut their american counterpart for wages as they can go home in the end.
minimum wage in the US is on the low end of the first world countries when it comes to minimum wages. they should be at the top end. a proper minimum wage would be well above $20 an hour to make up for the lack of social safety nets. it really should be $25 per hour.

universities are tax exempt non-profit that can receive tax deductible donations. they are not institutions designed to make profits. i suggest you and others look into all the things that are tax exempt.

what is great is that the notion of engineers being above unionization is a ruse that has been clearly put to bed.

another issue is how preys of insects dying off is leading to more of the kind of insects that rely on humans, like disease spreading insects. i would not be surprised if zika or other disease are more widespread than being reported. and these corporations are trying to cash in by advertising gmo mosquitoes which have shown to not work. these mosquitoes are able to breed away the reproductive deficiency but now you are left with a franken bug out in wild reproducing like crazy.
A much bigger problem is that these are self reported numbers. people tend to not realize that ever country handles income and social services differently. it's very hard to compare salaries objectively between people from different countries. in the us people have to earn enough to make up for the lack of social services that are available in other countries.
Also most of the foreigners working in the US are paid a contract salary. most of these foreign contractors are probably reporting the amount that their contracting firm is getting or the amount that they are being paid by said contracting firm. or they are reporting the amount they take home. it's hard to tell what they are reporting and it's very likely they are not aware of how confusing their salary information is. but in the end they are very likely being paid far less than the low numbers that are being posted.
same with pension. either social security should absorb all pension programs or a separate government entity is created. or have a workers’ union control it all.
too many companies are being raided or declared “bankruptcy” to hide the dumping of pension obligations.
they are gone because the company decided to dump their pension obligations via bankruptcy. they are magically coming back and the dumb and stupid thinks it is due to some efficiency improvements.
this scam of people taking over a company and selling profitable assets to hide the elimination of pension obligations needs to stop. the government should control pension just like healthcare.
the rich and powerful are only allowing females of the lower class to participate in higher education. this study is more about the expansion of working class females, especially the minority ones, with regards to the demographic of undergraduates. they are depressed due their isolation.
the only cure for burnouts in the us is a workers’ union. everything else is just attempting to deal with the symptom of the real problem of corporations having too much power.
