I run a social network that does 30m pageview per month. I had a similar problem with a Large host provider which for the sake of good taste I wont mention. When I got attacked the provider gave me a warning and shut things down for a bit but the attacks kept coming and coming eventually I moved ( im not advertising) to Rack911 got attacked again but the guys there proactively helped me deal with the attacks until the attackers backed off.
is this not illegal in your country. In South Africa this would amount to a "Bait and Switch"tactic which is illegal in terms of our consumer protection act.
Honestly i think what killed this site is the fact that it left a bitter taste in most users mouth.The annonymous aspect of the site-the thing that made them was ultimately the thing that killed them.It was fun until the questions about how ugly people were and secrets and rumours were being spread. This lead to potenial investors and acquirers avoiding it like a plague.

The problem with android phones in Africa is that they hard to maintain for local folks because they consume alot of data which is expensive here in Africa. So this is like a gift and a curse
It would be much better if we said that ''A startup is any profit driven business of any nature that is less then 3-4 years old''. Limiting the defination in this fashion will give some certainty

The Jurisdiction issues involved in this law suit are interesting from a legal perspective.That being said i think that this case will lead no where because of the right to freedom of speech (Provided that the United States has Jurisdiction-which i think it has).

The whole charge after one year model on other platforms is incorrect. Iv never met anyone except for IOS people that was charged by whatsapp after 365 days have elapsed.
This is real talk. Its high time we started seing articles with titles like ''Coders Learn how to Business'' ''Coders like how to Market''. The tech community needs to get out of this ''Coding is everything'' bubble. Coders can be hired but Enterprenuers cant.
