Lol... Listen "Knight in Shining Armour", this is a free market. For every successful startup or idea that takes off, there'll be hundreds and hundreds of copycats. It has always been that way and blogging about it won't change anything.
Yes, competition sucks when you are trying to do business but that is a part of what a free market is about.
As for what I heard, writing books (especially on the IT-area) are not so profitable.
So my guess is that the authors are okey with donation for a good cause.
Yes, by voting or becoming politically active if there are no viable alternatives to vote upon.
One easy method is to join a existing party, involve yourself in activities you care about, gather followers within the party and try to advance to a position where you can influence the parliament votes of the party.
The not so easy method is to create your own political party, but that is much harder as you need to broaden your focus much more.
