I agree, this is true. In this particular case though, there has been sensationalism for decades now - it tends to have the opposite of the intended effect.
I use 1Password 7 and only use a local vault (synced across devices with Resilio Sync). There is no reason you have to pay for a subscription if you don't want to.
This was common and well known even in the mid 90's with the TI-82. So much so that when my high school calculus class mostly bombed a test, the instructor asked us how we could have possibly failed his test when we were all using "notes" on our calculator.
I think what really matters is that your test coverage percentage increases over time and never goes down. A goal of 100% might be ideal, but is rarely realistic.
Basically, these all say the same thing and aren't _that_ scary aside from the fact they are from the IRS: Amend your prior returns if you owe money. I am curious if they expect the same if you lost money.
