Mixers actually make it impossible to trace. What typically happens is you deposit an amount. Some amount similar to that minus a fee is then sent to the address or addresses of your choice in multiple small transactions over a period of time from seemingly unconnected addresses. It completely breaks the tractability of the history.
Its true one should FAVOUR self documenting code. Going to the absolute and never commenting your code is obviously stupid, there will always be cases when more context and information on "Why" is needed.
Daft. Even if any company could just get its workers to manage their own IT needs it doesn't mean its cost efficient. The average hourly wage of IT support is often going to be less than the people they are supporting (i.e. programmers managers). They are also a hell of a lot faster at doing things since they do it every day
Firstly it seems like its time to take a break. When you disillusioned you need to stop for a bit. Perhaps do a while of "normal" work.
Secondly I would advise a frank and in depth post mortem. Find out really what when wrong and when. Perhaps it was just bad luck but more likely there are mistakes you can learn from.
"Each partners I meet seems too newbie to work with." This phrase stands out. Perhaps its just because your upset right now but generally when someone blames everyone else it means the problem lies with them.
I only partially agree. For things like hangout gmail android and reader giving support would cost so much they couldn't continue to roll out new products (given that they would have to support them).
However where significant money is concerned I agree they should have real support. Only offering support for some products could get really confusing for users unfortunately.
Just because burning calories from exercise will never replace proper diet doesn't mean its worthless. You can easily double your weight loss rate by going to the gym a few times a week. Far from worthless in my books.
I would go for a Jawbone Up if your using it mainly for sleep tracking. The sleep tracking on a fitbit is a bit of a hassle since you have to get it out and put it in its own separate arm band.
I'm not sure Amazon can give away your personal information without a court order. I think it breaks their terms and conditions and could get them in legal trouble. Unfortunate but really not Amazon's fault.
Perhaps its unusual but every company I have worked for this could be sorted out with a quiet word with upper management or HR. A little disruption moving people between teams is well worth averting a potential clashes
I really don't think 2.2% increase in happiness during two studies is statistically significant. Especially given the user base increased by over 300% in that time so presumably the demographic will have changed. Still, clever use of information to promote their site. Its amazing how fast stack exchange has grown.
This seems to be pitched somewhere horrible between the fun side projects ideas site and contract work. Take out the $50 charge and it suddenly looks great
$50 isn't very much for a days work. Also if I'm doing contract work it would be nice to pitch the price to the project and my skills rather than having some arbitrary fixed price. If I have taken someone's money they will feel entitled and I have to deal with difficult clients vague requirements and suchlike. They will also (presumably) retain the rites for the code produced.
Remove the $50 and it can be just for fun. I can bail on people I don't want to work with and I can retain the code if I want to extend it or show it off on my GitHub.
