I'm new to PostgreSQL and get nervous twitches from using pgAdmin. At the moment I run my queries in Toad.
Tried PSequel, connected but it say (no schema) in the dropdown top left. Hope It will move forward, would be great if it came close to Sequel Pro. Think the uptake of Postgre among novices and webdesigners would increase if there at least was an easy way to connect and backup restore a db.
Obviously Apple has outsmarted us again. I love my Hackintosh with the "free" OS X (That I have had the last year (Coming from MS). But ... I finally got a iPhone a few weeks ago and I have bought for me and my so and children in the last 3 years: 6 iPads, 4 iPhones, 1 MacBook Pro, 2 MacBook Airs and 2 Apple TV's. We are now totally entrenched in the Apple Ecosystem. I love how all my devices now play together. The next six months we will likely buy 1-2 new iPads, 1 iPhone 6, 2 iWatch, 1 Apple TV and possibly another MacBook. So ... As long as Apple do not have any reasonable priced / hackable desktop I think they will be very carefull to not make osX harder to run "unofficially" on Hackintoshes. I actually get a feeling they make it easier all the time ...
Have not read all three parts of this, but Kerr obviously is unaware that Apple actually sell a lot more in foreign countries than in the USA. (He is probably unaware that most of the world now have access to mobile phones). Now if Apple got banned from selling Apple products in the US it would hardly make a dent in their profits ...
Noticed it was gone from Ninite yesterday. Good riddance and a nice one of Ninite I thought. Still on fresh Windows 7 the Adobe monster suddenly appeared. Not sure where it came from, IE10 or Chrome?
You can run Linux and XBMC on the MK802 add an Arduino to get hardware pins and you're where most of the Pi ppl are. I got them both, haven't booted the Mk yet, but I think it would be nice to use it for running my Reprap and hook up a webcam so I can monitor it in the basement. Could use the Pi also, but I don't think it can handle the camera simultaneous. Or I use the Pi and use the MK as Mediacenter or use the Mediacenter to run my reprap ... Or something :-)
Then Toshiba will not be bought by me for myself or my customers. Happy to reduce the selection process with another brand. Actually I by Mac for myself and Fujitsu Siemens for customers.
Sounds great. I will try it a bit more. Subscribed to the mailing list. Hope this will be a sucssess for you. Btw. I think the number of parts you see when searching could be increased.
Tried it for a few minutes. What is missing and should only take a few minutes to add are generic dips, more generic headers and generic soics. Without I'm stranded before I even get to start as the component library are limited and there is no way to add on your own.
I have just picked up electronics again after a hiatus, need to create some simple boards. Will try this. If it works and gets momentum,it will really be great!
Barring coders from specific countries from using open source sounds totally wrong to me. The people are not the government in those countries, this ridiculous law harms the people more than the government. Still anyone able to read code will probably have no problem accessing the projects hosted in US based servers anyway.
