ah yea 2.0 flash is working. 2.5 doesn't and OpenAi 4.0 and mini models dont work either. The error message should probably say to try other models because i was pretty confused

@elithan this looks awesome man. The one thing keeping me in the firebase ecosystem is the firestore rules (basically quick CRUD permissions). Does nhost provide something similar?
@treblig any advice on usually how much percent increase you see once you move up funnel with fb advertising (optimize)? I'm guessing the cpc you got are based on bottom funnel and highly targeted hence the high cpc. I find really difficult to estimate costs with fb, because it takes me a fairly long time (1-month+) to build the content and ad strategy to lower costs. But I'm wondering at what point do you know if its a bad business idea vs bad ad strategy?
a lot of that is water weight, I almost always have to average a weeks worth of weight to get a stable reading on the weight changes. I also, gain like +2lbs if I eat a salty meal the night before.

So this was from the book "make it stick", recalling memory strengthens the network, which is why quizzing yourself or doing the simple sample problems at the end of the chapters are more effective then highlighting/rereading notes. The gap is mostly because you want what you've learned to settle into long-term memory where you can find it. Think of it as being a rat in a maze, you are on one side and the memory somewhere on the other, you want to work towards strengthening the path towards the memory, so it's easier to recall the next time around.
I've been trying to do this for a few years, this was the first year I hit about 24-30 books/audiobooks. I know pg wrote about remembering books a few weeks ago but I recently developed a strategy, thanks to "Make it Stick", to help me remember content far better then just reading.
1. read the chapter's summary before reading the chapter - I generally use https://www.blinkist.com/, but amazon reviews and goodreads are good alternatives. This allows you to know what the key elements of the chapters are so you can pay closer attention to the important stuff.
2. read the chapter
3. when you get the time write a short summary (usually a paragraph). You generally want some degrading to occur so don't write it right away.
It says in the article "the team isn’t so much excited about Fathom’s NoSQL and MySQL capabilities, but about its ability to watch how data changes and then push those changes out to users." At the moment meteor polls the db every 10 sec to see the changes which isn't very efficient or does oplog tailing if your mongodb has replica sets enabled, which can be much better for scaling (though more expensive/or more work). However, oplog doesn't really work for other dbs, i.e mysql,so I'm guessing FathomDB has been working on a better implementation then simply polling over the last couple of years. My guess is that they will try to abstract out the db layer, which is really tightly baked into meteor, so more dbs can be supported, though I think that will prob take quite a bit of time since its not in v1 release plan and they will most likely need to change how their packaging system works and some of their core system.
their card looks better (chip access), but the whole case thing doesn't make sense, It looks massive in the picture. My initial reaction with coin was that its counter intuitive, NFC or just mobile (square/paypal) are clearly the future. However, the coin card seems like a brilliant move now, they're entering the market through the path where everyone is familiar with the form factor and the technology isn't overwhelming.
The main problem with cards, isn't necessarily the number, rather the speed. Nfc is the fastest implementation so far and both my credit and debit card have it, and I will gladly carry around an extra few millimetres in my pocket to speed up the transaction process.
coin takes in debt and gift cards - which is more convenient for me, wallaby seems to be only for credit - I only have one credit card, I didn't even know you got rewards for using them.
