The problem is not the fanatical obsession with realistic graphics. It's the lack of fanatical obsession with unrealistic graphics or whatever else you care about. Everyone is free to do whatever you want nobody stopping anyone to do anything. Build your game and let gamers vote with their money.
Well, its not that hard to imagine. For hundreds if not thousands of years, people has been fighting to the deaths for their lords and kings. A few weekends is nothing really.
The arguments pointed out is rather week. Most can be solved given time and effort. With regards with the environment concerns, I think it's easier to solve the dependency of fosil fuel when all consumers is located in power stations compared to in individual transport unit.
I'm in the same position as you. I felt hopeless. I felt like there's nothing I can do. When I close my eyes, all I could see is my hand holding a knife, stabbing my heart, over and over. I am heartbroken and I just want the pain to stop. I don't care how.
I don't know what is going to happen in the future, maybe I'll take my own life one day. But for now, I just want to help myself. I wanted to help someone like myself. I'm not good at anything other than making an app so currently, I'm writing an app that I think would help me get by.
I hope the app that I made will help people like me. People like you. If it even save one life, my life would be complete.
I don't understand why so much hate for the library. For me, this is a very ruby way to tackle regular expression problem that newbie like me have.
Not that I'm saying that newbie shouldn't learn regex. But any level of abstraction would be great. Rails abstract the complexity of web development. Hexpress abstract the complexity of regex. Both are win in my book.
