2. Costly items on rent (say a watch or a laptop). It can be a marketplace where others are giving their products on rent and I am paying $30/month for the service. I can pay additional rental fees to the other party too. So this will be hybrid model of ebay + airbnb
Interesting concept but there are no entry barriers for such businesses, right ? expect 10 similar sites to start targeting local markets. I thought sevicemagic and similar sites in US already offer this. Anyway it looks to be a good business model so at least the base is strong and they will make money.
I am not sure how much visibility this post will get still, I built inBoundio because I wasn't able to find a simple marketing software and the once available in the market were costing $2500/year so I thought to build one which is like Basecamp for Marketing costing $29-$49 and has less and simple features.
I am running a one man bootstrapped startup (I prefer to call it a business then a startup) inBoundio, which is a marketing software and for me, having 1 paying customer is more important than 100 users. I get paying customers through sales, users through marketing.
