Intelligence is not completely due to genetics as you are suggesting and has to do more with socio-economic conditions. Read “guns germs and steel” for why human development through the ages has a lot do with just being at the right place at the right time.
I disagree, such an approach completely desensitizes the human aspect of work and treats the people working as commodities that are expendable.
Engineering is hard, teams might need to go through multiple iterations/generations to get the desired results. A better investment would be to develop the right engineering culture rather than Team A vs Team B duking it out.

This exact reason has helped me stop frivolous purchases as soon as I discontinued my prime membership.
I hate paying for shipping and most of the time the items in my cart are < $25 at which point I ask myself if I really need this item. If I really need it, I go to the target/Wal-Mart near my place since they always price match. Not renewing my prime membership has been by very liberating!
I’ve discovered q: when trying to quit vim in a hurry. You always keep finding new quirky things to do in vim but I guess the same hold true for other text editors like Emacs
That’s the other thing that doesn’t get mentioned more in these discussion. Governments can be bad actors and suppress citizens like how China is doing right now, no guarantee your own country won’t use it to suppress citizens who they don’t agree with.
