> It is human nature for Americans to perceive immigrant hires as cheaper.
Not at all. We perceive it because that's been the reality. If businesses only relied on their perceptions (and not accountants) I am sure more businesses would fail.
That's how I do my keypress events.
It stores the keypress into a buffer, then only calls the 'search' when a timeout is hit. Calling setTimeout gives you a pointer to the timer, so you can clear the timeout when you get another keypress, thus allowing you to start the timer again. If I tried to send on every keypress, I'd occasionally get out of order packets. Sending them buffered up all at once lets me avoid out of sequence packets, and it reduces the load on the server.
So, what you are saying is, I should buy all of Zynga's stock, lay everyone off, close up shop and sell all it's real estate, and keep the cash for myself.
Only one of those guys is 50+. Carmack is only 42. You are talking about exceptional programmers, with a high impact on their fields. If you want to emulate them, you'll end up quitting at 50, realizing you aren't ever going to reach their level. Most people don't. You won't be a rockstar, you'll be lucky to be better than average. Set goals for yourself and meet them. If you don't have any goals, then come up with some good ones.
Exactly. Given enough time, you could come up with a compression algorithm that would generate the original file. It would only work for that one single file though.
Well, that was the philosophy that they were promoting. I know for a fact that your re-stating of it seems to be more accurate. My father was doing business in the late 80's, early 90's with Russia, and he was transferring large files across a modem link. The CIA contacted him and asked him not to encrypt his files, so they could see what was going on.
You can only use the supercharger on the 60 or 85kwh versions of the Model S. It's an upgrade on the 60kwh. You can not use it on the 40kwh versions. No word on whether or not the 'Supercharger' stations will have "level 2" charger or not. Also, highly doubtful that this could be used by other electric vehicles than the Tesla. So, you can only use this if you spend $65k or greater.
