I've used Finnix[1] for recovery tasks in the past. Having a good Linux distro on a USB stick makes me feel ready for any (most often self inflicted) computer emergency. It's the sysadmin equivalent of a Swiss army knife.
Yup, the parent comment is incorrect. SMS longer than 160 characters (in GSM 03.38 encoding) are split into multiple parts, each a maximum of 153 characters long, 7 characters are used to glue the parts together.

In what way? It might change the cultural landscape but that happens all the time, even the most nationalistic state does not have the exact same culture it did 100 years ago. Old culture will go away to make place for a new one, or rather, culture is always evolving.

How did you arrive at that conclusion? With the decline of organized religion, could one not suggest that religiosity is very much something people can be without? Or are you referring to already religious people being unsatisfied religiously?
I'm in a very secular country. Non-religious people are... non-religious. I don't believe there is anything that "replaces" religion in most people's lives. If you're not religious, you don't necessarily have metaphysical needs, and I think most people here don't.
Regarding religious people: they meet with eachother in church and other constellations as usual. Nothing is keeping people from practicing their religion, but they can't assume most people will empathize with their views, which is true for many different standpoints in life, not just religion.

I don't think the point is to belittle their accomplishments, but rather a realistic take on poverty. A lot of people try really hard, and still cannot get out of poverty.
This is something we as a society need to deal with, and not disregard a systematic problem with anecdotal success stories and saying "You can too!"
I am with pitaj here, intellectual property is fundamentally wrong, but this is a good example of something that I'm not sure would work under no copyright. "Pay what you want" is one way, though I don't have any statistics on if that collects enough money. Another could be selling signed copies or otherwise making some copies exclusive in a way that copying them nullifies. Pay what you want + signed copies + patreon style donations might be enough?
I don't have a good answer to this. I would therefore suggest decreasing the duration of copyright to somewhere around 5-10 years to give the copyright holder time to sell the work with exclusive rights, after which the work enters public domain (like copyright was initially intended to work).
To me, it sounds like just another word.
