Its called economies of scale. When they server 200000 ai subscriptions they dont expect everyone to use the max. They expect some will use more and some will use less and at the end of the day it will even out. Thats how every service works that is for the masses. I don't understand why any solo dev would use aws. Its awfully priced and 99% of people can just use a vps and that should be enough. By the time you blow up and need cloud scale you can afford it.

Lol my company is paying a fortune to get off oracle. Anyone that does not need the million features that come with a oracle will eventually move off it. It's way too expensive to use in smaller environments or non mainframe environment's. Oracle has some of the worst pricing and sales techniques.

Highly recommend a managed service like datadog or New Relic. Or if you in the cloud like AWS you can use cloud watch. Don't use your application db to store operational data you should seperate them out.
