I was on your side a year ago. Your year of explaining has actually made me into a skeptic. Evidence for asymptomatic spread hasn't materialized. The disease isn't as deadly as the officials said at first, and the response hasn't adapted. This is not an existential threat.

This pandemic has made me completely lose trust in the "experts" like Dr Fauci, the CDC, and the WHO, all of whose guidance I followed for a full year before understanding the extent to the lie we've been fed. And I've absolutely had it with the armchair epidemiologists online like you who repeat their #BlueAnon theories about this variant and that tiny uptick in the curve and never, ever mention the evaporating evidence for asymptomatic spread, or what happened to the actual flu this year
COVID only hospitalizes 1-5% of cases, and they're almost all old or obese. What are we doing?! This is not an existential threat! It does not justify forcing individuals to take an experimental vaccine against their will!

I really hope I don't lose my job because I don't want to take an experimental, unapproved vaccine for a disease that hospitalizes less than 5% of people across all age groups when I work from home, am a healthy weight, and am under forty.
The risk for me is, in fact, comparable to the flu, and the vaccine has similar drawbacks to the flu vaccine.
Also are you surprised that Black people in the South don't want this experimental vaccine after the Tuskegee Experiment? Combine that with the awful side effects documented on Reddit in r/covidvaccinated and the refusal of the drug company lawyers to accept liability if something is wrong, the very people pushing the vaccine still wearing two masks, the profit incentive of a new annual vaccine, and new reports of menstrual "changes" caused by the vaccines that are rolling in and you know what? I'll take my chances with COVID's death rate, since it's only killed 14000 Americans under forty.
