I listen to psytrance. Mostly full-on. It usually does not have any vocals and has a groove or beat. But nothing really surpasses silence for thinking.
I am a paying Nova Prime user and I really love that I can press on an app to open it. OR swipe up on a app to open a directory where I put similar apps
I'm below 40 and have problems with touchscreens just because I work a lot with my hands and they are constantly dry. Also touchscreens on a car are a very bad idea
Excel is essential and in most businesses that I worked with, most of the accounting and business side is run on it. I switched to Windows from Linux just because of Excel when WSL came out. If Linux would have Excel and Photoshop that would be a no brainer to choose it, but that will never happen
The puke and diarrhea after every chemotherapy session might feel bad acutely, but the real killer is neuropathy. When it gets bad, it's impossible to operate zippers, pens, shoe laces, walking like made from wood, nails falling off due to nerve degeneration, teeth gums getting swollen. In cold climates (-10 below freezing) it is especially hard.
I was using it as well, but after talking to my very knowledgeable dentist, pressure cookers destroy most of the vitamins from foods. Since talking to her I started using my pot without the pressure valve, semi open, and use it as a small simmering device, similar to a pot on a stove, but without needing to remember to turn it off.
I can relate to the author. When I was ~28yo, I used to do similar things and experimenting socially. The best way to get to know guys is by doing shared activities - basketball, hikes, going to sauna, gym. But it only makes acquaintances. The vulnerability and honesty part can only be achieved 1-on-1 and some people don't like those talks. But it really makes true friends. It can cut through the polite-social-minimizing-risk-bullshit-talk like a knife. It's really hard to have very close friends and having at least one is a true blessing... I never had the fortune of meeting great female friends though. Even though I like talking to them and doing activities that involve many females (dancing salsa, bachata, kizomba).
since HN is a technology oriented site, can someone explain what technologies are being used in this article? The graphics are amazing! Is it mainly three.js?
You sound like me 10 years ago. Be careful in pushing Yourself in the gym until total failure. It might be directly correlated to injury. Especially for Your shoulder, knee joints and lower back. It's tricky to have good joints and be very big and buff all Your life. Muscles grow, joints do not. Doing lower than 8 reps will help You grow, but it will kill Your joints.
