The patent rider is a liability and needs be checked by legal. In my company that alone will take months. I don't wan't to delay my project so will use Polymer.
yeah, it's only for twitter users - the code is open source, added the github ribbon, so you can check what it does - just reads your tweets and discards the ones without images...
What if you isolate only the tweets with images from your twitter feed? I find there are a ton of great posts I would have otherwise overlooked when scanning my feed like this.
don't waste your money on conferences, they are super expensive and the best talks will land on the internet. Unless u need them for networking - but even then you can just go to free meetups.
I'm working on multiple ideas. haven't cracked the 1000/month yet, but have put together a common repo I use as a starting point for all my projects. It recently got featured on the Google Developers Channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_7zdqz01sk&list=PL2fzhe-bAE...
well said. I think this is such a great symbolic moment. It's so hard to come to terms with your 'otherness' when you're young. The biggest step is admitting to yourself that you're different.
not sure if this is the correct headline. finance overall is less popular but in 2008/9 most investment banks where either bought by "normal" banks or where simply allowed to convert their bank type from investment to "normal":
Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley "abandon their status as investment banks" by converting themselves into "traditional bank holding companies", thereby making themselves eligible to receive billions of dollars each in emergency taxpayer-funded assistance.
When I started off there was something really gratifying when doing a static web page front end. You get immediately rewarded when throwing in an img tag and setting some basic CSS (if you start from nothing, it's really nice to get visual feedback).
But soon after I wanted to get into 'real' coding and got interested in TDD, and finding elegant solutions for problems be it backend or a complicated UI. If you can spark that kind of motivation I'd say your friend is good to go. I'm also working on a program that I'm basing on my experience of teaching myself how to code: http://archi2tech.com/ maybe your friend is interested ;)
Not democratically elected = easier to corrupt.
The previous leader of the Lords OWNES his own lobbying company!
Cameron suggests him as Britain's EU commissioner, and it was only then that the EU parliament had to force him to sell the stakes in it for him to be an acceptable candidate.
This guy was running the house of Lords for years!!! In which democracy is that acceptable??? How is being in political power and a lobbyist for industry at the same time NOT a conflict of interest??
Of course Germans question the power of the car lobby! The problem in the UK is that you destroyed the diversity of your economy in the eighties! The car industry is powerful in Germany but so are many other industries! The UK has sold it's soul to finance, even reforming schools and universities for that one purpose. George Osborne himself says for the UK to prosper in the longterm the economy needs to be rediversified!
True, but if Barclays has 500 subsidiaries, how many will hsbc have? It was probably just cheaper to have the big office in canary wharf and keep the city office with less staff.
I work close to bank station and I have never in my life seen so many banks, in the smallest spaces you get the most exotic bank branch from a bank operating in some other part of the world. And that's just on the street level - if it's not a pret it's a bank- and who knows what's in those generic skyscrapers housing 20 different companies...
