I am not. Technically that would mean adding a stochastic process driven by an ambiguous language to my deterministic workflow, and change my job from deep thinking about problem solving to reviewing and testing code that changes more often than it should. Ethically it abuses people, the environment, and copyright and the people selling the product are lobbying governments to break the social contract in a bid to extract more wealth.
I started with the 7 minute workout using this app: https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/j-j-official-7-minute-workout/.... Doing it once a day helped me with fitness and mobility. Less pain doing stuff around the house, lost fat, built muscle. And the app has a progression to more difficult levels as well and I have been moving up that scale. This year I intend mixing in some Apple Fitness strength training, but to be honest I won’t be bummed to just continue using the programs on the app. The gains of the daily routine have been amazing.
So much this. The original question has the cart before the horse. First understand the problem you're trying to solve, then solve THAT problem. Not the one you wish you had. Or, in the words of John Gall:
"A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked. A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work. You have to start over with a working simple system."

So this may be considered hijacking, but here goes. What the EFF, and many others, get wrong is that this is terrorism aimed at the West because of 'our freedoms', or these are religious nutters who want to kill Westerners because jihad, porn, alcohol, the prophet told them to, it's in the Quran, etc.
The larger picture reveals that it's chickens coming home to roost (and I am not going to go into the long list of foreign policy actions that create the resentment). The Western public should not expect that their government's actions do not have consequences.
From a purely selfish PoV, you can expect that if your government is willing to kill/maim/oppress/steal/lie/cheat people of another nation, for whatever reason, that this will soon start happening to you (and it has - look around).
Pushing back against initiatives like this is futile. The fear your government sows will override any concerns for loss of civil liberties. So long as they get to use words like terrorists, Islamic Extremism, radicals and militants they control the conversation. And every time you use those words you set your argument back.
More pertinently, the West has a long, long history of violence against the other. Study that history as that is the only thing that will let you to question your presumption of superiority and allow you to open your eyes to the terrible suffering the West inflicts every day.
Right. That addresses the point about mangling YAML into something that looks like a language. It was this that made be curious: "It's that in general you don't want a Turing-complete language to do configuration management, because you want to be able to reason about things like rollbacks, dependencies and diffs."
The War on Terror provides the opportunity. The War on Drugs provides the rationale. Both these are levers controlled by the US and both cost it much in treasure and lives for little gain (I'm following standard US practice and ignoring the cost to the non-exceptional peoples of the world). Sadly most US politicians lack the bravery and/or integrity to even suggest touching those levers.
My experience is obviously is anecdotal, but nonetheless I learnt this from my daughter.
When she was about 3 my wife and I were discussing a birthday gift. My wife wanted to get her a kitchen play set (stove, dishes, etc) and I disagreed, purely on gender role grounds.
A week later we were visiting with my sister, whose daughter did have one of these play sets. My daughter spent the entire visit playing with that set, and asked for one when we left. My wife looked smug.
In retrospect my thinking was dumb. My own life experience should have clued me in. Most of Western society is built to cater for the white male. Those who aren't are told that 'success' is dependant on behaving more like a white male. That is only true if there is only one type of success, the white male type.
Seizing disks is different from snooping without your knowledge. This also requires a higher level of legal justification.
Passing background checks for my employees and me is a valid requirement and one that I will implement. However, not to be facetious or anything, but Edward Snowden probably had a background check done.
I am going with the last option. Rely on bundled licenses. Seeing as I also provide a fully managed service, I include all software updates etc. for those who pay the annual license.
The rest are not my customers and worrying about them is a distraction.
It's a shit show.
