Good hearted advice but lacking in few aspects. Most medical products are terrible with open integrations and open standards.
I suspect this kind of advice is given by consumer companies for fear of liability than anything else.
In many cases, medical devices that have consumer equivalents don't have anything extra than a better written user agreement and little more liability.
Apple, Amazon, Facebook, Google and Microsoft are hugely profitable corporations they pay top dollar to any talent, whether its domestic or international. So the argument Indian outsourcing firms should pay similar salaries to every employee is like, asking every US company to pay on par with Google/Microsoft employees, I guess.

In India, during even first part of last decade, wifi frequencies are illegal for the people to use. Those days, MIT Prof. Nicholas Negroponte made a special trip to India to explain to the people who matter, that don't stupidly implement radio ban on WiFi usage.
I see some merit in your argument. I have a little more take on this.

Please forgive my ignorance. But does this corporate meddling in governance structure have anything to do with their recent corporations sponsored/bankrolled initiative "Designing Block chain for transactions". Which obviously calls for weeding out trouble making general public.
