My guess is that Mayan EDMS is way more popular than all the other forks, so you probably don't need to worry about it so much. I'll also chime in to say thanks for making open source software, I know I really appreciate it.
I work in the government sector, where there are defined salary scales and everyone knows everyone else's wage. I was a bit surprised by this when I came here from the private sector, but even more surprising was that it never causes any problems. It's a total non issue.

Hmm, I wonder about causation here. Does the loud fast music make people drink more, or does it just turn away teetotallers and attract drunkards? I have seen this kind of thing first hand. Men are taught to never show weakness, and are full of bragadocio in interviews. Women are taught to be humble. If you speak up or be assertive you get labelled a bitch. Thankfully this is changing in mainstream society.
There are some places where this change is happening more slowly than others, and the tech industry definitely needs a boost in this area. A massive part of the problem is that many men in the industry are simply blind to the problem. It's not a problem for them so they just go along with the status quo.

Preference for clothes was not sexually selected for at all. Many communities exist and thrive with many different standards for dress. It is purely a cultural phenomenon. Adhering to the culture of the day, being one with the group, that was selected for. Hipsters in western countries, conservative amish dress, almost naked african tribes, their cultural standards vary drastically but the things they all share are their genes and the desire to be accepted by the rest of their community.
