Overall things are much safer, but contact by scammers online (online scams in general) is much more a thing now than it was then. There was a turning point in the mid-late aughts for me where the level of trustworthiness of random anonymous online contacts took a dive.
I used to be able to work 36hrs straight (random work crunch every few years). Hit 40, launched into such a session, 2am hit a wall... "Can't. do. this..." Laid my head down on my desk and slept for 2hrs. Haven't been able to pull an all-nighter since.
Just out of curiosity, what bluetooth do you use? There is no bluetooth options on the market that don't actively physically hurt my ears in a way that wired headphones never ever have.
Lossy compression, lots of different codecs with differing qualities and compatibilities. However, Shure Aonic 50 BT sound quality for me was phenomenally good (though they were uncomfortable to wear)... most other headphones I've tried have been mildly tolerable to terrible.
"no" meaning no one is writing new programs/apps in COBOL, only maintaining old ones. "stay" meaning people will keep launching new programs/apps in PHP going forward.
If in the US, property tax got lumped in with state income tax to create a cap where property tax benefit went away for a lot of people, but the mortgage interest deduction is still there, no (on the first $750,000)?
I can think of many restaurants with really good food that went out of business... that's a terrible analogy. Certainly a very helpful ingredient, though maybe not even the main one.
I'm surprised how little skepticism there is about posts like these. A month earlier the user posted a comment about a mortar round in the same group, and posted a video about a security prank. Not saying it's fake, but it's far from obviously true.
I suspect they want the app to have an easy access icon on their home screen. I don't think most people know you can save a shortcut as an icon from a given web page on their home screen.
