"In 1519, Captain Hernán Cortés landed in Veracruz to begin his great conquest. Upon arriving, he gave the order to his men to burn the ships. As I imagine it, someone then laughed and Cortés promptly thrust his sword into the man's chest. After which, the rest proceeded to get hammered on rum by the glow of the blaze." That the real life example where this expression started...
>Take cudweed and boil it in fine ale, and drink it first thing in the morning and last thing at night; and make the patient a bed in a pile of steaming horse dung, and lay him in it.
Sleeping in a pile of horse sh*t... I don't see any hygenic problem with that, let alone the smell...
From Health A millennium of health improvement (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/241864.stm)
The average life expectancy for a male child born in the UK between 1276 and 1300 was 31.3 years. In 1998, it is 76. However, by the time the 13th-Century boy had reached 20 he could hope to live to 45, and if he made it to 30 he had a good chance of making it into his fifties.
From this history.stackexchange[1] thread, on user found that the average age of death of monarchs to be 44 years in England.
In the same thread it seem that it was 48.5 depending on how you made your calculation and 53.4 years if you made it to 20 year old.

You don't get infection or disease because.
1- most of the people (and probably you too) are vaccinated and prevent the spreading of such disease.
2- Most of our current developed world is sanitize compare to back them
3- a cut could be lethal or could meant amputation in the middle age, now you just need to put alchool on it.
4- you might had suffer from malnutrition even has a monarch, lack of vitamin C could lead to scurvy in the winter and lack of iodine in the food might cause Iodine deficiency (wich lead to Goitre or Cretinism)
If you your so keen of wanting to live that life style, you can find a sweet amish girl and go live in her community.
Women in Pictish society were regarded as the equal of men and succession in leadership (later kingship) was matrilineal (through the mother's side), with the reigning chief succeeded by either his brother or perhaps a nephew but not through patrilineal succession of father to son. [0]
I think he meant time off (which is more realistic) Considering most people have 2 day off each week + the statutory holidays the 1/3 is actually achievable.
(exemple for canada with 4 week off: 52*2=104 "week end" + 10 statutory holliday + 4 week (20 days) vacation= 134 days/365 = 37% more than 1/3)
- Do you have a how to post on how to move you wp blog to github, I've been thinking of moving my personal blog on github.
- Good job reading 5 book in a month your almost halfway of your goal.
I'm trying to read 26 book this year (fic & non-fic) I'm at 3 and halfway in 2 books.
It's better now they some to have fixed some of the issues.
I've used a mix of delicious(when I only want the link) evernote and pocket.
Pocket for 2 reason, 1- quick consumption and I bookmark to evernote if I found the article usefull
2- Feedly free doesn't allow to clip rssfeed to evernote but allow pocket
I haven't though about plugins but that seem a great way to package some of your project. You can always have a free and paid tier with the free tier having limited fonctionalities.
1- you could have a open/free version and have a more specialize version that you charge a fee
2- you could sell a package with some of your project (3-4 for seem might go well together in some case) charge per parkage
3- charge for support to install
4- make a guide how to set up them on an hosting company (like bluehost) and link to a affiliate link to bluehost
5- build a free guide and a more advance one sell the advance one
6- create a course, sell it on udemy or on you site.
Why did you started this project ? Was there a hole in the market for that kind of need ? Try to find the old you and how he would buy that product. For the first project it seem it will probably need to stay free, the 3 other can probably be monetize. Check if there other product that are similar to your project and how do they monetize their product.
You didn't give much background of what your experience has a dev. so It`s hard to say if you you can just switch to the same salary.
I personnaly made the switch for 1 1/2 year, I was a backend java dev (jboss, srping, hibernate) and switched to a game job doind backend server work at a similar salary* .
So has long you can translate your work in the new job you should be fine, I saw poeple switch from iOs/android apps dev or web dev to game witout losing any salary doing game.
* :my yearly was actually increased but my hourly salary was somewhat the same.
Note that the gaming industry can be rough (even the casual gaming one) with long hour and crazy deadline, be prepare to work much more than the normal 40hr/week you normaly see.
